Tairseach, meaning threshold in Irish, explores the space between one place and another — between landscape and memory, the natural and the imagined.

Fragments of textured landscape, stone and weathered forms are layered across a pale, atmospheric ground. A tall, almost monumental form rises through the composition, suggesting a standing stone, a marker or a passage into somewhere unknown.

The work reflects on those moments when a landscape becomes more than somewhere we simply see — when it becomes connected to memory, belonging and a sense of place.
